Whatnot profit report, show by show

Choose your Whatnot CSV (Weekly Orders Report or Show Report). You can pick several weekly files at once.

Your file is read in this tab and is not uploaded. The page does not store it. Only the costs you type are saved, in this browser.

Free: the first show in your file. The other shows are listed, and open when subscriptions go on sale (coming soon).

Where the files come from: Seller Hub, Financials, Statements, download a week (Seller Weekly Orders Report), or Seller Hub, Shipments, pick a show, Open Sidebar, Export Show Report (Export a Show Report (CSV)). Weekly files cover completed orders only, so a show's last orders can arrive in the next week's file.

FAQ

Questions about the report

Which files can I use?

The Weekly Orders Report (Seller Hub, Financials, Statements, download a week) and the Show Report (Seller Hub, Shipments, pick the show, Open Sidebar, Export Show Report). You can pick several weekly files together; a transaction that appears in two files is counted once.

Does my file leave my computer?

No. The page reads the file in your browser and works out the report there. Nothing in it is uploaded, and the page does not store it: reload the page and the rows are gone. The only things saved are the costs you type, in your browser's local storage.

How are refunds handled?

The Weekly Orders Report writes a refund as its own row for the same order. Hammertally puts the refund on the show the order sold in, shows it in a Refunds column and subtracts it from that show's profit.

What if my file is not recognized?

You get a message that names the columns the page found, so you can see what is different. Nothing is guessed. The Show Report's columns are not published by Whatnot, so if yours is not read, email support with the column names (not the data).

How do I enter what my stock cost?

Type a cost per item, or enter what you paid for a case or lot, tick the items it covers (the spots in a break, the cards from a box) and spread it evenly or by sale price. The parts always add up to what you paid.

What is free and what is paid?

The first show listed in your file (your most recent) is free, with fees, refunds, cost entry and profit. The other shows are listed, with their figures hidden until subscriptions go on sale. They are not on sale yet: the planned price is $9 a month or $79 a year.

Is this tax or accounting advice?

No. It is bookkeeping arithmetic on your own file. Profit here is what Whatnot paid out minus the costs you enter; it does not include other business expenses, and Whatnot's statements and your accountant are the authority for tax.
